Did y'll think I died? a new one, please c/c.?
(Untitled so far)
Earthwardly slowing drifting
weaving to and fro
just as leaves or feathers
are caught by gravity's
inexorable hold.
Such is the dedication
I have shown to friends
and loved ones;
for that I can only try to apologize,
and hope that I'll be forgiven.
Friends and family,
and loved ones,
one and all!
They don't deserve the treatment I've given,
nor do I deserve forgiveness.
But I beseech thee,
one and all;
Forgive this poor old dunderhead
for his faults and flaws...
asking on bended knee.
So with this plea I send
a hope of friendship and love
renewed.
I'm still alive; I doubt I'll die...
Because, well,
Heaven won't have me,
and Hell's afraid I'll take over!

Hey Lil Bro: Welcome back sir. Nice arrangement you have put together, and glad to have you back.
Bro Ski, just my opine, but all you need to do is say "I am sorry."
Asking for forgiveness puts the decision on me...others can agree or disagree or abstain. In other words, I can, and have (though was never required) forgiven you for this. However, I could forgive and that still does not mean one is sorry. I would not say this if not important. It may sound like semantics to some, but in recovery have run into this dynamic before, and the person when confronted wanted nothing to do with saying they were sorry, because then they had to admit that they were wrong about something, and their pride was way too strong to come to a place of humility.
Knowing you, that is not the case, but, just a small issue to contemplate.
I like your last two lines. Where will you end up then my friend?
See you around now, right?

Hey, my friend with me there is no time between friends because I trust that you would tell me if you thought I needed to know when you are going away for a while, and I would be reasonably certain that you were ok or I would have emailed to ask. So just write more about what you might do if you actually DID take over hell. Might be fun!!

Ah, I do like a decent, positive ego to read
on a bleak November afternoon..
I`ve writ you a message in add details on the post you answered
our ski-racoon!
I really would not worry about Hell
for It`s in the charge of `Black Adder`
and he`s English, you know..
So puts on A Good Show
for those
whose peccadilloes are
a trifle madder
or
badder.
If you qualify
I guess you do
we`ll see how ya go and
Y!APS bless you!
(ya fergot us, duhh???)
nonono..no bended knees..Im too too old - just the odd round of applause (or schnapps)
welcome backs!

Afterthought:- I felt to come back to re-read (I did miss you)
and notice now what a really inclusive poem of yours this one is -
the three realms Earth Heaven, Hell (I guess Y is purgatory, by common assent, lately...)
life and death
friends, family, frenemies,
hope of forgiveness [ :)(: ]
a tilt at he fates...congrats - in such good solid stanzas too - Progress! O pilgrim of the regions of Y!APS. xxx
Source(s): Youtube...Black Adder..in charge of Hell, very good idea really. (I thought that Yahoo was in charge....what a relief!:D....) - Anonymous9 years ago
