I am a military RN and a prepper. The bottom line is - what is the quality of the product? Do some research on the company that make the product and their quality controls - if the product is actually Amoxycillin etc... then YES it will work. However, you do need to do a lot of reading or have some clinical expertise. For instance Amoxycillin cannot be used to treat everything and neither can Cipro. You need the appropriate antibiotic for the illness and you need to know how to dose it. I use www.drugs.com for help with this. Obviously these would be for a SHTF scenario and should never be used in the place of seeing a provider.

OK, here's the scoop. Fish Mox is a fish antibiotic that is specifically amoxicillin or a penicillin antibiotic. It is often used by people for their dogs and cats because of the cost at the vet, which is ridiculous because as a rule it is an inexpensive antibiotic. Because it is amoxicillin, it should work on humans, BUT this is not human grade antibiotics. The people who use it insist that because fish are so easily adversely affected by different things that it MUST be pure pharmacutical grade amoxicillin, BUT there is no way to know this for sure. I personally would not risk it. If you want to try it, the strength is 250 mg and I have been prescribed 500 MG amoxicillin twice a day, so I would think that 500 MG would be the dose, but again, I would not personally recommend that you do so.
