What to get a 13 year old for Christmas?
My daughter is 13 and I'm stumped about what to get her for Christmas. She was diagnosed with leukemia when she was 8, and she's so inspiring to me and others as well. So, I want to make this Christmas extra special for her, but I can't think of anything to get her. Any suggestions?

Makeup may be a good gift.
She may feel like she's not attractive on the outside, so maybe makeup would give her a confidence boost?
Tell her I hope she recovers well, and has an amazing Christmas. : )

Most teenagers now a days love to have electronics. Laptops, IPods, IPads, etc? Maybe one of those. I like the idea someone had before about redoing her room or something thats always a fun thing to do. Jewlery, Makeup, Clothes. Maybe like take her to her favorite bands concert let her go back stage ? Also you can always ask her to make a christmas list and of her to pick her very favorite stuff and give her a few days to thinks so all things come to mind. Maybe get her ear pierced or a piercing ? Anything really hair dyeing , nails done. Things are just what girls in teens like to do. But asking her may be the best thing as for everyone has a different interest. I hope i helped at least a little. Good luck , and tell her to get better really soon, and i have faith that she will. She seems like an amazing girl <3 Tell her to also keep her head up high to show how strong she truely is <3 Good luck to both of you Merry early christmas

I am so sorry about your daughters leukemia, but I'm glad that God still has her alive today, what a miracle! That's so amazing of how she has been able to deal with this, I can't imagine what she has been through! You seem like a very thoughtful mom, and I'm sure that she appreciates you very much :). Well, lucky for you, I am a 14 year old girl, so maybe I can help you! :D
It all starts out with your budget, and the type of girl your daughter is. Is she sporty? Girly? Creative? Anyways, I think you should wrap each presents that are similar, and make it a theme. For an example, if you bought her:
-warm socks (great ones at dollar tree/dollar stores!)
-soft blanket ( you can find them at department stores like kohls or JCPenney and they can run from $15-$30)
-some cozy pajamas (forever 21 has cute ones I believe, which are probably $12 for both bottoms and top)
-slippers (try Payless, or target. I'm sure you can find some for about $15)
-robe. (I'd go with target or forever 21 which sells from $8-$20)
Wrap them together into one present, which would look cool! You could probably get her multiple themed presents, because that theme above probably wouldn't cost more than $50. For the first theme I showed you, you don't have to get her everything, maybe just a few things, which could vary. depending on her personal preference.
Nail theme:
-get her 3 nail polish bottles, her top 3 best colors on her. (OPI is the best brand I've used, but its about $8.99 per bottle, so maybe you can buy Revlon, which is a really great brand too, but its about $5.99. Target, Walmart, and beauty supply stores have a big variety. Also drugstores such as CVS as well.)
-buy a glossy top coat(would probably be like $5)
-get some sparkly polish to put over her base color. (Probably $5)
-nail polish remover
-cotton swabs
-fake nails (if she likes them)
-nail filer
-nail clipper
iPod theme:
-iPod (I'd get a black one, so it won't get stained. Prices can average from $150-$200)
-maybe 2 iPod cases. (Try kiosks in any local mall. You can negotiate a good price.)
-iTunes giftcard
This one I think would be very useful. There is this girl who had cancer, and she makes makeup tutorials. And she says instead of wearing wigs, she uses makeup. This would be good for your daughter (if she wears wigs.) ;
Makeup theme;
-a good makeup kit (probably $20 at kohls jcpenney Or maybe even forever 21)
-makeup remover
-eyelash curler
- makeup bag
You can also make like a memory scrap book. Add photos of her, and write about her best memories. Another god idea would be a book for her to write about things that make her happy, to help her focus on the positive. Below I've made a list of things she also might want/ use.;
-clothing store giftcard
-ugg style boots
-a new suitcase
-purse/ bag
-a cozy sweatshirt/ sweatpants
-scarves always come in handy!
-cute knit hats such as berets.
-magazines. (j-14, and M are good ones! )
-movies
-CDs
-a digital DVD player.
-A camera to help capture her memories.
-perfumes/lotions / body wash from bath and body works. (Sweet Pea, Twilight Woods, and Chritmas Noel are some good scents they have available right now)
-earrings
-necklace
-rings
-bracelets
-a locket necklace
- maybe a necklace with her name engraved
Also, it wouldn't be a bad idea to take her to her dream destination maybe instead of a present. I hope that you, your daughter, and family/ friends have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! I will pray that she has a faster recovery, and that her holidays are happy!
God Bless You!†
