Would it really make a difference if Obama was really a practicing Muslim?

To be honest it shouldnt matter what religion the president practices as long as they run the country right.

Yes, because our religion is usually a determining factor for many, many decisions in life, such as how we get married or what we believe in. I think (as a supporter of President Obama) if he was a practicing Muslim, but made the same decisions he does today, it wouldn't matter to me. If his values shifted, then my choice might, too. I wouldn't be mad because he wasn't a Christian or because he was Muslim, I just might not want to support him if his views and choices changed to ones I didn't support.

Some people might prefer that he was Muslim. Then they could at least claim that color was not their reason for not liking Obama! Though it at heart, really is! Hey, at least That guy "west" spoke his Tea Party beliefs, that no Muslim should be allowed in congress! I think he's nuts and a sign of what is wrong with this country! Shows just how far, we have not really progressed!

If Obama were a practicing Muslim, I wouldn't care too much. But if he were a Muslim who was trying to conceal his religious beliefs, then it would make a difference. That would mean that his beliefs were contrary to American values. If you are ashamed of your beliefs or want to hide your beliefs from the world, then something might be amiss.

I don't care if Obama was a Christian or a Muslim as long as he governs like he's neither.

It makes a difference to the bigoted Christians. They hate everyone who is different, with different opinions. They are the religion of intolerance.

Many christians believe that anyone who isn't also christian is inherently evil. They sort of ignore the parts of the law that forbid any kind of religious litmus test for political candidates.

Like everything else in his life, he keeps practicing, but never gets it right.

It would not matter to me. He was chosen to lead this country. And that he is doing really well. With the help of GOD.

Not to Me. But to a lot of Smaller Minded People- it Might... :(
