THE ELEPHANT MAN
A true and tragic story of a man suffering from a horrible physical disability (tumors ravaged his body) resulting in gross body features, poor speech and vision and other health problems. The bad hand he is dealt with in life curses him to life as an unloved and unrespected freak, living in a caged environment and abused.....all this despite the fact he has an average IQ and understands everything that is happening to him and is horribly lonely.
A doctor and the staff at a hospital work hard to help him belong and live as close to a normal life as possible.
The movie is one of the most heartbreaking movies of all time.
