A question about feeding my new kitten?
I read that when you feed your cats you leave dry foos out all day and feed them wet food in the morning and at night. when I was a kid and we had cats we never did the wet food, jist the dry. I am getying my kitten Select kitten chicken and brown rice recipe cat food by blue buffalo. Here is the website: http://www.petco.com/N_23_92_13398_30_7670/Cat-Foo...
anyway, if I feed my kitten this premium cat food, does it still need wet food?
Also, do I have to leave dry food out all day, or can I just feed my kitten 3 times a day?

I have multiple cats, all raised from kittens. My normal approach was a quality dry kibble available at all times, and then a canned food treat once a day, around my dinner time. That worked to keep them out of the kitchen while I prepared my meal.
I found that kittens like to eat many small meals throughout the day and night. And now, while I no longer have any kittens, but only adult cats, it seems most of the food disappears overnight.
With dry kibble, having a fountain will encourage them to drink more water, and is often useful.
But a word of advice. You need to start out with the same food the kitten is already eating. It makes the transition to a new home, which can be stressful for a kitten, easier. Then, if you want to change food, do it gradually over perhaps a weeks time to avoid tummy upsets. And realize that your kitten is the decider. The kitten will only eat what they like and will not eat something they don't like, so your opinion and that of others is of no importance.
Oh, and how has my feeding schedule worked for my cats? My oldest is nearly 17, and in fine health.

Have you considered how you could just eat your cat?
