About a month and a half ago, I was stung by a bee for the first time. I was panicking because I have never been stung, so one of my friends removed the stinger. I was at soccer practice, so I decided to just keep practicing. The area became very red and swollen for about an hour before going back down. For about the first 3 hours, it felt as though I had been stabbed in the leg, and then it faded to a dull ache for the rest of the day. I forgot about the sting, but the mark never went away. Today, i still have a pink circular scar where I was stung. I never scratched over the sting, so I have no idea why the scar is there. Is this normal? Will it ever go away?

One of my very good friends has had epilepsy for almost his whole life. He is now middle aged, and before a few months ago he had his epilepsy controlled through medication. However, just about a month ago he had an "episode" while he was at work. All of the sudden, he lost the ability to speak. He could think, but could not express himself through speaking. He said he felt very strange. He was rushed to the hospital and drifted in and out of being able to speak for a few hours. All of the doctors he saw had no idea what was happening. He had a CAT scan and lots of other tests but they have found nothing abnormal. He has not had another episode until today. He was at work again when he noticed he couldn't speak. He drove home, took a bath, and then felt better and went back to work. I am very worried for my friend and was wondering of anyone had any idea what is happening to him. Thank you!

I really want to get a new instagram account. Not a normal personal account, but one of those ones that gets like a million followers and that posts pictures of clothes or hair or quotes or whatever. I was just wondering, what type should I make? I want to focus on teen girls in my posts, and I want it to be something people would follow but that isn't overdone. Thanks ;)

So there is this kinda shy boy at school that I really like and let's say his name is Brent. So Brent was in my 5th grade class and then he moved away. Now we are freshmen in highschool and he is back. He has been back for about a month and I have a huge crush on him! So ever since the first day he came back I have talked to him. He is kinda shy and quiet but when you get to know him he is funny and nice.p He hangs out with my group of friends, and he is in 2 of my classes. He walks with me and waits to walk with me after those classes. Sometimes he hangs out with me and my friends rather than the boys. He always asks me to be his partner. Sometimes I catch him staring at me. Also, in one class we have together he sits diagonally behind me next to my friend. When the person in front of him isn't at school, he moves up one seat into her spot next to me. Its only one seat, and there would have been nobody in front of him but he still always moves up. Do you think he likes me? Do you have any ideas on how to get him to like me more? How should I ask for his number? Don't say from facebook or a friend because he doesn't have a Facebook and none of my friends have his number. Thanks!

So there is this boy, let's say his name is Leo, who went to my school in fourth grade. All of the girls were in love with him. He was smart and cute and talented. But then, his family moved out of state and he was more or less forgotten. Until 5 days ago.

He just moved back and its leo-mania all over again. All the girls like him. Including me. I liked him back then and I still do. He sits with my group of friends at lunch and is in a few of my classes. In fourth grade we weren't very close at all, so I'm trying to change that. I talk to him every day, but not all the time because I'm trying to play hard to get and not seem too pushy. However, he doesn't know that many people and is still shy. The only other girl i have ever seen him really talking to is this girl jordan, and i am insanely jealous of her. She isnt the peettiest girl in school, but she is much more outgoing than me and flirty and i dont want her to steal him. But we have talked every day and I would say we are on our way to becoming friends, but I want to be more than that. I have absolutely no idea if he likes me. How can I get him to notice me and start liking me in that way? I'm not too shy, but I'm not a super flirt. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Ever since preschool it has been my dream to be a doctor. Back then I wanted to be a pediatrician. Around middle school the dream changed to brain surgeon, then plastic surgeon, the pathologist (doctor who preforms autopsies) and now a pediatrician again. I love working with kids, and think it would be amazing to work with kids, but I'm not sure. I know I don't want to be a specialty doctor like an ear nose and throat doctor, and definently not anything dental, but something better. More interesting. I don't think i could handle the pressure of being a surgeon, but its a possibility. I would love being able to actually work with people and help them solve their problems. Can you think if any medical careers that could be good for me?

Whenever I am on my period, it is really heavy. I feel like I am always leaking. Today I wore an overnight pad and filled it and leaked through in 5 hours. I have school tomorrow and was hoping an overnight pad would last until I got home but now I don't know. Is there any way to stop from leaking?

My kitten always stays up until like 1 am every night being super hyper until finally falling asleep. That is, this is what used to happen. For the past 3 days, every night for my kittens goodnight snack I sprinkle in some homegrown cat grass and he falls right to sleep! Maybe I'm crazy and its just a coincidence, but do you think the cat grass is making my kitten sleep?

I am auditioning for a musical theater summer program and the requirements for the audition are a song from a standard musical. I am not quite sure what they mean by "standard musical" but I definently need help picking a song. I am between soprano and alto, and I want a song that isn't overused. Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

I had my first period on august 23rd of 2012. I would say it was pretty heavy and it lasted about 10 days. I had cramping for the first few days and then for the last 5 days it just slowed down until it stopped. Since then, I have never really had another proper period.

There have been 3 situations in which I have brown and pink discharge, a little blood for like a day, and then more pink discharge for another couple days. Those 3 times are spread out from 3 weeks after my first period to about a month ago.

So I am pretty sure that this counts my period as irregular. What am i supposed to do? Do i need to go on birth control? Talk to my doctor? I'm 15. I heard in my health class today that its unhealthy to have irregular periods. Thats why im asking this question. So...help!?!?!?!

Okay so say there was a senior in high school and this was what they accomplished during their high school career. How much of a chance would they have of getting into an ivy league and/or Duke University?

-4.0 gpa

-all honors/advanced/AP classes

-approximately 1900 on SAT

-band program all through high school, including marching band and concert band.

-Band section leader as a junior and woodwind captain as a senior.

-1year of junior national honor society and 3 years of national honor society

-4 years of key club and key club president as a senior

-volunteering at local hospital once a month for 3 years

-(I am not sure if this counts because it is a summer activity) 4 years of a music/art camp over the summer, 2 of those years as a camp counselor

What would you say this students chances were? Is there anything else they need to do?

I am a freshman in high school with dreams of going to a top university. Currently I have my heart set on Duke. I am currently in all advanced classes and plan on sticking with my schools most advanced classes (AP) all through my high school career. Please answer my questions!

1. How many extracurricular activities does Duke want? I am currently in marching band, concert band, junior national honor society (plan on graduating to regular honor society next year) and a community volunteer club. I am also hoping on volunteering monthly at my local hospital (I want a career in medicine) in the near future. Do I need more extracuriculars than this?

2. What are my chances of getting in if I follow this plan over the next for years? 4.0 student, in all advanced or AP classes, all extracuriculars listed above, four years of Spanish, a hopefully good score on SAT.

3. What else do I need to do over the next four years to make a good impression on Duke's administration board?

He is half Siamese from his mom who was a purebred siamese used for breeding, but his dad is an unknown mix of breeds. Anyway, he is a Polydactyl so he has 6 toes on his front paws, making them quite large. He is 3 months old and currently weighs about 3.2 pounds. He doesn't seen overweight, but very average. How big do you think he will get?

Yesterday I got the new Motorola electrify M from us cellular. It seemed to be working fine and I was really happy with it! But then I noticed that the phone didn't receive texts or calls! I can text people and they get the message, but when they text me back it says the message sent but I never get it on my phone! I can't receive calls, and when people call me it goes straight to voicemail and my phone never rings. When I try to call someone it says the call didn't connect. Other than this the phone works great! My dad got the same phone yesterday and his phone calls and texts... what's wrong with my phone? I checked and it has my correct phone number and everything. Lastly, the only recent call is a call to Oklahoma... I have never called Oklahoma! Help!

PS. Don't say go to the store or call because it closed already. Is there anything I can do to fix this right now?

Ever since I was little, I have loved the today show. I know it seems strange, but their lives seemed like a dream to me. Their job seemed so fun. All they had to do was show up, read news stories, talk to celebrities, and basically have a blast. I know it is probably almost impossible to get to that level of a job, but it is my dream job. I know I would probably have to start small and local, but it would be worth it. Anyway, I just had a few questions.

What college experience is needed?

So I got a kitten who is 9 Weeks old from a friend and they told me it was a girl, so I named it vivienne. However when I took her to the vet, I was told she was a he! I have been calling him Vivienne for a week and I dont know what to call him...... Any ideas?

My ideas so far are quincy, cooper, and jackson. Quincy is my fave. He is white with black spots and is a crazy little boy who loves getting into trouble.

I read that when you feed your cats you leave dry foos out all day and feed them wet food in the morning and at night. when I was a kid and we had cats we never did the wet food, jist the dry. anyway, if I feed my kitten this premium cat food, does it still need wet food?

Also, do I have to leave dry food out all day, or can I just feed my kitten 3 times a day?
