The song stan is about crazy eminem fans that would do anything to be shady.

Stan is a fictional character although there are defintely many obsessed eminem fans in the world. The song was inspired by Eminems uncle Ronnie who commited suicide in 1992.

Im sure he had a crazy fan but I doubt they were that crazy and desperate to get a letter back that they drove off a bridge. Plus it would be all over the news. And people would use that to criticize eminem more. Maybe he just had a crazy fan that just sent a whole bunch of letters. Than again anything can happen.

You just did exactly what eminem was saying not to do in that song, you took it literally.
Its a brilliant concept and if u analyze it, its just em saying he doesnt actually do everything he says in his songs(like slitting his wrists or driving under the influence, etc)
