Cats and Rodenticide?

I have mice in my backyard. Normally, I wouldn't worry about them. But they're damaging the garden, so I want them gone. But I have several friendly neighborhood cats that hunt in my yard (often leaving me presents). If I put rodenticide into the mouse holes, will the cats be hurt by it? I need to get the mice under control, but really don't want to hurt the mousers. They have been very helpful for keeping the mice population under control for the whole neighborhood. If rodenticide won't work, what are other options?

Snap traps work. You can get special food bates for them at pest control suppliers which cats and dogs are not attracted to. also snap traps will not cause death to cats or dogs, although they can cause injury, that's why the special food baits.

Edit: L, your getting better, but still, poison and die should be lower case letters. It doesn't empress people to use upper case letters, it just makes your writing skill appear limited.

If you put poison down, expect to POISON your neighborhood cats.

If the mice eat the poison and the cats get the mice.... The cats will DIE.

And legally it would be your fault. The owners could sue you for harming their pets.
