How can I get paid to go to graduate school?

I want to go back to graduate school full time to gain my maters degree. I often hear of people going back and getting paid to do it but I have no idea where to start looking for such a thing. Is this what they call "fellowships" or are there scholarships that provide this.

There are not a lot of scholarships or fellowships or etc. for masters degree programs. Those that do exist tend to be in high demand fields which have a tough time filling all their seats in masters programs, such as engineering and computer science.

The majority of fellowships and etc. are for PhD students, and again, the majority of those are only in certain higher demand fields. But there, the list of fields tends to be broader, from computer science, engineering and business to less-taught languages, etc. However, there are even some in the liberal arts at the more elite level programs. Normally, you'd do work as a teaching or research assistant for your funding.

With all that said, there are certain individual scholarships and other funding programs that are run by individual unis, or groups such as the US military or etc. for various fields, which you can look into.
