Why does Eminem not call his self Slim Shady anymore?
In Relapse and Recovery you dont hear Eminem call his self Slim Shady but in his older songs you hear him call his self Slim Shady. What's up with this?

He still refers to himself as Slim Shady, just not the two names. like Slim or Shady individually. Slim Shady was Marshall Mathers' alter ego. He was the "bad-side" of Eminem. He stopped calling himself that because he didn't want to be known as an evil person or bad person. It gave him a bad rep and he wanted people to see he turned his life around.

I believe this is because has matured a lot since his last album.
I guess he wants to start fresh and Slim Shady is just a part of his past he wants to move on from and continue on with the present.

I think it is because with his new music he has just put out, he`s become more mature and wants people to see the REAL Eminem. Slim Shady was his depressed ego and it hurt him to use his evil ego in his newest songs because it would make people think he is still not mature enough to be real with his new somber songs.

Slim Shady is a name for his crazier, zanier side, which doesn't come out often anymore.
