what happened to my metabolism?
i used to have a really fast metabolism. i mean i wasn't THAT athletic but i did work out more than now and stuff and now i eat a LOT of chips (idk if that's the problem). anyways i no longer have a flat belly and i have some flab in my legs which i am not proud of when wearing skinnys and tight shirts i have to suck in.
so why did my metabolism slow down, how can i speed it up again, and how can i lose all that extra fat again?
thanks :)

If you abuse your metabolism for long enough, eventually it'll catch up with you. That's what happened to me. I used to stuff myself full of junk all day long and I was super skinny. Until, I started to gain weight. I started freaking out, because I always thought that I was just blessed with a fast metabolism and I'd never get fat. I immediately started getting into nutrition and changed my diet around completely. Not only am I thin again, since then I have gotten more energy, cleared up my skin, gotten emotionally stable, etc.
You can lose that extra fat of yours and gain a ton of other benefits by stopping the junk eating and eating healthier. It's worth it, trust me.

stop eating the following: pastries, desserts, sugar, salty foods, syrup (even canned fruit in syrup), peanut butter, pork (wieners, chops, bacon), potatoes, white bread, rice, pasta, canned veggies, ice cream, oily foods, soda, coffee, chips and anything from a vending machine...And of course no tobacco or alcohol in any form. Both of those add wrinkles and destroy your brain. No oil except olive and mac nut.
People change as they get older. We slow down as we age. Protein provides energy so eat
plenty of chicken, fish, cottage cheese, tofu, beans...
And keep exercising. Join the gym; the staff will show you which equipment to use
to achieve the look you want.

Your metabolism most likely hasn't changed, you're just consuming too many calories. Reduce the calories so you're at a deficit and you'll lose the fat. Exercise can be used to increase the deficit and therefore speed up fat loss.

Cut out the chips. Maybe just have them *once in awhile* as a special treat. If that's the only thing you can think of that you're doing differently then perhaps that's the problem.

Same happened to me.
I don't think there's much you can do but eat better and exercise :/
