Because she rightfully thinks that your preoccupation with her is inappropriate [look up transference] and she wants to remember she has a husband and NO INTEREST in you.

She thinks that because her Hubby is a Marine, it elevates her status above everyone around her whose significant other isn't a marine, or special ops or whatnot.
