Whats this old horror movie with black dog?
When I was little I watched a horror movie from the 80s or early 90s and I've never been able to figure out what it was. Here's what I remember:
It may or may not be a big house on or near a ledge to the ocean, there's a full moon at some point, this guy wakes up in the middle of a night next to his sleeping (wife?) I think during a thunderstorm and gets out of bed and he hears growling. He goes into the hallway and there's an evil black dog growling at him. But wait! They don't have a dog! I can't remember if it chases him or not but it scared me a lot when I was little.
I used to think it was Pet Sematary but it isn't and it's not Cujo, as far as I know it's not very popular. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

I think the scariest movie I've ever seen is Fail Safe. It's not a traditional horror movie about ghosts or monsters. It's a believable story about a military drill gone wrong, leading to a nuclear attack. It's more frightening than any fantasy because it could really happen. Henry Fonda was brilliant as the President forced to cope with the unthinkable. It's one of the most suspenseful and harrowing movies ever made.
