Have you ever pierced yourself?

Ear or whatever.

Just curious, cause I know some people have. If you did how did it work out for you?

--------------------------

I haven't and considering one of my ears always gets infected with a new piercing I wouldn't risk it for myself.

Yeah. I mean I have several piercings I've gotten proffessionally but they were 25$ each so I went to Walmart & got a self-piercer thingy(trying to save money lol) If I recall correctly, it was $10 or $15 but the earrings themselves were $10. They were the cheapest(diamond studs). So I bought several of those so I could pierce any one who would let me including myself lol. I pierced my sisters cartilage twice. Then I pierced my cartilage twice. What I mean by that is that it was 2 studs right next to each other. Then I pierced my then bfs' ears. Mines got infected so I took em out. No one elses got infected tho. I was also the first to pierce myself.

I've pierced myself several times, but I wouldn't recommend it. It is pretty risky since it's an open wound. Professional piercers are CPR certified and know how to handle things that could go wrong. I think people need to go to professionals who are qualified, have been trained and know what they're doing more than someone who has had no previous training. If you search self-piercing on google, you will find a plethora of things that could go wrong.

Please don't even have a friend who's had experience doing it pierce you unless your friend has been a trained professional. I had a friend pierce me, because she had experience. She had no clue what she was doing. She did not use a new needle. I got snake bites, and the piercings did not line up well. She freaking left me in that bathroom. I was bleeding so much that part of me thought I was going to die. The piercing even fell out, because she didn't twist the ball on. Thank goodness this girl walked into the bathroom & helped me. She stayed with me until the piercing was in and the bleeding stopped. She was late to class, because she wanted to make sure I was ok before anything else.

There are risks with all piercings, but the risks are greatly minimized with qualified professionals. It's your best bet.

No, I have my earlobes pierced (they were done when I was a baby), a belly button stud, and a small nose stud (those were done after I turned 18).

I once pierced my foot. Though it was unintentional, and was with a rusty nail instead of a jewel....and I had to get shots and have it removed at the hospital. That, kids, is why you don't play outside on a farm without shoes on!

I've "re-pierced" my ears a few times when I haven't worn earrings in a while. I just have to really force the earring through, and re-break the skin. That hurts. But I'd be too chicken to ever pierce something of mine.

The only thing that I pierced by myself is my ears. I got my cartilage piercing done professional, as did I get my gauges when I decided to go from regular piercing to a 16, to a 14, to a 10 and currently, to a 6 inch gauge.

I would never be able to do that to myself, I would only let somebody who knows what they're doing come near me with a needle and poke through me. If I did it I would probably get a really bad infection or end up messing it up, like making the hole too big or something.

My mum pierced her own ears, and her sisters and her friends. They all turned out ok, but they got in loads of trouble because they didn't ask first.

  • The only thing I've ever done is stretched my ear lobes. I've been tempted to do piercings myself, but even if I could manage to get the needle through, I'd be worried about infections or not piercing it in the right spot. It's always better to be safe and get it done professionally, or by a friend who's experienced with it.

Yes, I pierced my own smiley two times. I messed up on my first attempt and have a little scar tissue near my upper lip frenulum, but no one will ever see it, so meh.. It healed at an average pace, but I took it out because it got annoying after a while.

I have also pierced my own lip. that was frustrating. I had to take it out because my stupid self did it in the middle of swim season and the chlorine pool wasn't letting it heal.

Overall, I learned that facial piercings don't look that great on me.

But, I have helped an ex with his piercings. Mainly because he was too much of a wimp to stretch his own ears, so I would pop them in for him.

Nope. I only have my ears pierced, and I wouldn't object to piercing anything myself, I just don't know what I want. I helped my friend pierce her third hole though.

  • Ive pierced my own ears, but they turned out uneven so they were taken out. My dad also tried my piece them. They were even that time, but got infected. :/ So they were taken out aswell..

Every other piercing i have is professional though.

My grandma pierced my cartilage when I was about 16. I could never actually like pierce myself. But I had a friend pierce her septum herself. It looks good on her.
