Seniors Do you remember her?

I know she was before my time. I like this song. When I was a kid, my redneck dad and all of his friends were into Kitty Wells and Jean Sheppard. But I don't remember them talking about this woman.

She was definitely before your time as far as her prime was concerned. Here's a little info from her bio. I remember her but not as well as the female country & western music stars of the 50's and 60's. Thanks for the memories.

Ruby Rose Blevins (October 30, 1908 – May 3, 1996), known professionally as Patsy Montana, was an American country music singer-songwriter and the first female country performer to have a million-selling single ("I Want to Be a Cowboy's Sweetheart"). She is a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame.

My dad loved her type of music - maybe he had a record or two of her.

    Fun and down to earth.

My dad loved country, but I don't remember her, but he may have. He liked many of them, but he is no longer around to ask.

He was a big Hee Haw fan up till he passed. I can still remember this was one show he always looked forward to.

No I don't remember her but that is the type of country music I remember as a kid. Yodeling again. I'd forgotten all about that lost art.
