What is the evidence that giants once roamed the earth?

Nope, there is no evidence (but plenty of fakes).

I suspect the myths came about because people dug up fossilised dinosaur bones and thought they were BIG human bones.

Yes, there's evidence. Sure, it is taken and hidden. The Smithsonian does no longer even respect Nikola Tesla how you going to trust them on whatever else? They, like many enormous quantities of museums are good known for hiding some thing that can't be defined. Or does now not match with the favored notion procedure. Nearly every museum that's not privately owned has a again room with the great things hidden in it. Huge weapons and tools are determined world broad. Gigantic swords and axes. Large hammers.Tremendous skeletons and skulls. On and on. Ask some questions, do some research and you're going to in finding that giants are just some of the fascinating data which have been swept beneath the rug. Or dumped at sea. Don't just read what is on the web. Use what is on the net to discover what perhaps near you after which go poke round. Unfortunately what you find is going to make you a wacko in the eyes of the good schooled know it alls. It's effortless to smugly deny things. It is really yet another to move and do the research and provide you with some solid conclusions. I've stated it before and it nonetheless stands. You can hit some men and women upside the top with a massive femur but it won't make them believe in giants.

I find that a very good test of the authenticity of stories like those of giants (ie. stories that supposedly support the authenticity of the Bible) is to look up what creationist groups like the Creation Studies Institute and Creation Ministries International have to say:

If creationists groups like these say that there is no truth in these stories then they are DEFINITELY B.S. (If they claim the arguments support the Bible and/or creation, then there may be a little bit of truth in them).

The 3m. tall Cardiff Giant was excavated in Cardiff, New York in 1869.
