Poll: Are you good or bad?

Question

To answer this question, try taking this test to see if you are a good person: (I know that I'm not.)

1. Have you ever told a lie?("white" lies are still lies.) What do you call someone who tells lies and are you one?

2. Have you ever stolen anything? (Even when you were a kid.) What do you call someone who steals and are you one?

3. Have you ever looked someone with lust? Jesus said, "Whoever looks at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her in his heart." (Matthew 5:28)

4. Have you ever you used God's name to curse? That's called blasphemy. "The Lord will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name." (Exodus 20:7)

So how did you do? That is only four of the ten commandments. If you have failed any or all of these commandments, than you are not a good person by God's standard.

Now the common response is: "Okay, so I'm not perfect." or "I haven't killed anybody."
But remember the standard is God's law, not other people. God only considers good to be moral perfection! Which none of us are and therefore the whole world is guilty before him!

Here is the analogy: A criminal says to the judge,"Judge, I know I have raped and murdered, but I have done many good things." Now is the judge going to let him go because he has done many "good" deeds? Is he considered a good person just because he has done "good deeds? Of course not! Same applies with God and us: God is a judge and we are criminals(sinners) in his sight, because we have all violated his law(Sin). No amount of "good" deeds/works can make us good and no amount of "good" deeds/works can get us into Heaven because we are criminals(sinners) in God's holy sight! "As the Scriptures say, "No one is righteous--not even one." (Romans 3:10) 

The bad news: We all have sinned (violated God's law: such as lying, stealing, and so on.) and fall short to the glory of God (Romans 3:23). God can not tolerate sin and will punish for it because of his holiness and justice (Isaiah 13:11). Which means that there is no one who is good, but God alone, and the wages of sin is death(Hell). (Romans 3:10-18, Romans 6:23) 

Don't worry there is hope!

The good news: The good news is that God loved us so much that he sent his son to take the punishment for our sins, so who that whoever believes in him should not go to hell but have everlasting life (John 3:16). All you need to is repent from your sins and place your faith in Jesus Christ. The moment you do that you will be forgiven from your sins and know and will be granted everlasting(eternal) life into heaven. (Romans 10:13)

Please think about this! You can die at ANY moment and youth is no guarantee of a long life!

I am bad. In fact, I'm horrible. Black in the heart from the moment I was conceived. Before I even had the ability to breathe, I sinned against God. Deserving to be punished for all of eternity in the lake of fire. I am but only one human soul worth nothing. But Jesus is perfect, the sinless Son of God saw me in my state of despair and showed His mercy, grace, and ultimately His love by bearing my punishment for me on the cross so that I may be blameless before God. Three days later, He rose again and defeated death so that I may be set free from eternal death. I've finally found a reason for living, and I've finally found my worth the moment I believed. :')

I used to think I was a good person who sometimes does evil things.Upon closer examination,I realized the opposite is true.I'm not the most evil being to ever live.But I am evil.That's okay with me,because I believe Good and Evil balance out the universe.One cannot exist without the other.As far as Jehovah and Jesus go,I don't take threats lightly.Anyone who plans to torture or destroy me is my mortal enemy.

In my opinion, you can never be good person, and you can never be a bad person. We're always a bit of both, it depends on how you view a situation.

Translation: If you act like a human there's something wrong with you, you're diseased and only my religion is remedy.

has it ever occurred to you that religion (all religion) is a moral code that is intended to get people to behave like humans instead of like animals?
Religion is NOT intended to make humans beat themselves with birch branches for their whole lives, and intentionally avoid using their life for something worthwhile.
