Do I have a Heart Valve Condition?

If you have a heart valve "stiffening up", could that result in high blood pressure to compensate for the flow? My blood pressure was 135/70 for all my life except for the last 12 months. I am 59 years young. When I do light work, (i.e. climb a ladder and replace a celing tile), I sweat!

Last month I had an infection, took antibiotics, and now I feel lightheaded.

Any medical suggestions (yes I am seeing a doctor) would be appreciated.

With only the information you have given, the stiffening is due to aging. Means nothing really. Your shortness of breath cannot be decided on this little amount of information. But I would suggest it is your lack of conditioning. You don't exercise.

Being lightheaded is not a sign of anything specific. Could be anything or nothing.
