is my passport still valid?

It was issued in 2009 when I lived in NY. I now live in NM, and we will now need to use our passports as travel ID instead of our licences. Will my NY-issued current passport still be valid in NM?

    Your passport is valid anywhere in the world.

    LOOK at THE EXPIRATION DATE.

    I BELIEVE THAT THEY ARE GOOD FOR TEN YEARS.
