My mouse stops working when I lift it off the table?
How come? I don't think it's a OS error or anything. I even ordered a new $80 wireless mouse from a street vendor walking to his car. Anyone having the same problem?

The buttons will still work, but mice work off of the surface they are on, not on motion. It is either a ball that is rotated by the friction, or a laser that senses the surface moving.
