Turn the lights down, put on some talk radio or white noise on low volume in the background and half sit half lie on a couch with her on your chest so she's upright and lying on her tummy. You might have to rock or move from side to side slightly. Colic is not only a digestive issue, it is also to do with being over-stimulated. At first it might take ages for her to settle but as time passes she will settle quicker and will "grow out of it" within a month or so (hopefully!). Good luck.

Poor baby! Colic is bad enough without having to go through withdrawal.
The best you can do is hold her a LOT. A good baby carrier (and taking turns with a partner through the night, because this is of course exhausting) can help with that. My son loved his carrier during his gassy phase. Don't go for a 'crotch dangler' type carrier like the Baby Bjorn where her legs just hang down, it's the position with the knees pulled up and curved back (similar to how a baby monkey holds on to its mother) in an ergnonomic carrier that will help her expel excess gas.

Colic is horrible. Especially paired with coming off drugs from her mother.
I know this sounds terrible, but you're just going to have to get used to hearing her cry. She is going to cry a LOT even when you've done everything you can think of. It doesn't mean you are doing a bad job or abusing her.
Try warm baths, try singing to her, try rubbing her stomach and patting her back to get the gas out. Stand up and rock her in your arms and keep talking to her with a really sensitive and relaxed voice. Also, classical music sometimes helps.
Good luck.

Hi there, good on you for saving this little babies life. Who knows where she'd be if it weren't for you.
Have you tried Gripe water for the gas, or gas drops?
If you can, buy the bottles that reduce the amount of air sucked in, it helped my little one immensely with colic and gas.
After burping her, you could try laying her down on her back and doing gas leg exercises to help relive her (look them up on YouTube or Internet)
A warm, soothing bath may help before bedtime.
I noticed that when I held my girl in a certain way (cradled in my arms normally, but one arm between her legs patting her back) and if I kind of swung her from side to side and sung to her continuously like this for up to an hour sometimes, she'd eventually fall asleep. Once she got a bit older and too heavy to carry like this, I used a baby sling in a similar cradled position. This worked even better because I didn't have to risk waking her by moving her when she fell asleep.
Try some static white noise in her room when she's trying to sleep, like a vacuum etc it helps familiarize them with the womb.
Do you swaddle her? Maybe that will help to keep her secure and comforted.
Have you tried an automatic vibrating baby swing? I had one and my little one loved it, slept in it most nights, it was all that worked!
Have you tried a car ride? Does that kind if motion calm her?
Good luck and best wishes for you and the little baby!

Please do not listen to the person saying kill it. that person should be murdered for even saying that. Try rocking her or walking around the house with her, um car rides help them fall asleep. There should be a formula for colic children im not sure if it helps but you can always try it and with gas there are gas drops you can try.

With my son, when he had reflux we would sit in a chain and lay him face down across our legs and rub/pat his back. Someone else told us to do this and it relaxed him. Hope this helps.
