Why are Patriots fans so cocky?

Wowwwwwww so this is why you were begging me to answer your question hahaha :) Well it's not cocky it's just confidence. Now Texans fans those are some cocky sons of bitches.

When you have the best QB ever to play the game like we do who can get the number 1 seed in the AFC with the 31st best defense in the NFL some fans are gonna be cocky.

The only thing that scares me is Wes Welker he dropped another touchdown ball that went right into his gut last game. That's why you like him LOL he's the Patriots kyrptonite. Julian Edelman is out for the season so it'll be tough for us. But we just signed Donte Stallworth for depth so we should be fine.

If Aaron Rodgers can throw 6 touchdowns on the Texans Defense. Then I'm pretty sure Brady can put up 7. He'll throw 5 though because he doesn't like to pad his stats cough cough Peyton Manning.

I hope Tom Brady faces Peyton in the playoffs so Tom Brady can destroy them just like last year 45-10 style. It won't happen though Peyton won't get past wild card round :)

There are 32 teams in the NFL. Each NFL has a fanbase. Each fanbase has cocky fans. I don't give a rat's a$$ if the Patriots have more cocky fans. The Texans have cocky fans, the Broncos have cocky fans, the Packers do, the Giants, the Bears, Dolphins, Colts, Browns, Rams, EVERY team has its share of cocky fans. Patriots fans are celebrating the era of domination that they've created, just like the 49ers fans did when Montana won 4 Super Bowls, or the Steelers fans did when they won 4 Super Bowls in that 10 year span, or the Packers fans did when they won the very first Super Bowls. They had cocky fans all over the place. And to be honest, I don't care if I was the ******** person on the face of this earth. That is my RIGHT to be cocky. I wouldn't care if you, The Patriot Gay, J-Mag, or any other Patriots hater blamed me for it, or hated me for it. I wouldn't let anyone make me feel bad for the way I decide to represent who I choose to be.

Even though this question is two years old, I'm going to answer it anyway. The reason Patriots fans are so cocky is because they know they're pretty much guaranteed eight wins every year. I mean, look who they play against in their division.

We're not cocky we're just good every year and we can prove that by our record, we have a horrible D but who cares we have TOM BRADY who can pick apart any D in the NFL. If it wasn't for 2 drives by Eli they would have 5 super bowl wins since 2001, and also the Pats have lost 3 games this year by a combines 4 points, there going to kill the Broncos when they play them and when they get Gronk back for the playoffs and he's healthy there going all the way.

Patriots fans and Boston fans in general have a lot of pride, whether is warranted or not. That's just the culture of New England. In the case of the Pats, it kinda is warranted. They are enjoying the best decade of football and sports domination they have ever known. Any town enjoying that kind of success would live it up and talk smack. If you visit Houston, you will see they are taking cocky into over drive, and they have only been successful for 11 games. Success breeds contempt.

First of all when was the last time ANY NFL team won 3 rings in that close of a time span? EXACTLY! When was the last time your Broncos won anything? EXACTLY! How many NFL teams have made 5 Super Bowl appearances in the past 12 years? EXACTLY!

And you want to talk about defenses? Well to start with the Pats "Terrible" defense as you say has only given up 30 or more points ONCE in their past 9 games genius! The Texans have given up 30+ points 3 times in their past 9 games by the way. I admit the Pats secondary was not too good to start the year, but they have changed. They added Talib and put moved McCourty to his better position. Since that happened the Pats secondary has been solid. They give up yards but not many points, and they are now getting turnovers too. The Pats run defense is very good in case you didnt know that part. Id like to see that little scrub Foster try and run for over 100 yards because its not going to happen. And its not all about defense hunny, The Pats had one of the bottom 3 defenses in the entire league last year and STILL made the Super Bowl. Their offense is #1, and there is no defense that can stop them. So the Pats defense will not make or break them anyway. And I wish the Pats could play those silly Broncos again, I enjoyed watching them put up 31 points on Denver defense, which is actually a very good defense but like I said opposing teams defense does not matter to the Pats because nobody can stop their offense. And by the way those same Broncos only put up 21 points on the Patriots and their "terrible" defense like you said...LOL!!!! Anything else?

No team has been this dominating for this long,,Thats why I am cocky, because I can be, my team reigns supreme. The only people on earth that can even say anything about the Pats are REAL Giants fans, not the fake ones who have to mention the Giants to hide behind the fact that their favorite team gets spanked by the Pats on a regular basis, which most people in this section do. Who is going to take us out in the AFC? Baltimore? Like last year? Steelers? Not even close! Houston? Unless they fall apart in the playoffs like last year! Denver? After we spanked them earlier this year, and after Peyton has the scars of many previous Pats wins in the postseason...Just admit it, the Patriots are simply the best! Thats still better than 99% of the league..And like I already said, there is no team in the NFl that even come close to matching what the Patriots have done in the past 12 years...And for your info, I was a Pats back with Bledsoe, Curtis Martin, Ben Coates and all of those players...And YES we made the Super Bowl with Bledsoe too.

For one,if you say your not cocky and your a football fan,thats a lie or you have no support for your team once so ever. As far as trash talking goes that varies for every team .

Also the Pats tore down Peyton already 31-21 and we'll do it again .

they think that they have the greatest team because they have the greatest qb. The day Tom Brady retires is the day that the patriots become horrible again. They have no receiving core, which is also another reason why they haven't won a Super Bowl in a while.

They are cocky because the Pats consistantly win 10+ games every season for a long time.

As long as that keeps happening, they will be running their mouths.

And of course according to them the only reason the Pats will lose is excuses like weather, location, refs.....etc.

In a few years when the Pats suck again, they will have no choice nut to shut up.
