I'm an NFL expert. I'm lying.

  • Why are some announcers so bad at remembering players names?

Seriously, who in the blue hell is Russell Williams?

  • Were you Patriots fans surprised by the NE vs IND game?

I know you were expecting to crush the Colts 50-3 or something like that. Instead, you only beat them by one score and they even had a halftime lead.

The app store says I downloaded it, but the icon doesn't show up in the app menu, and I can't open it from the app store either.

  • Why won't Patriots fans just get over themselves?

Everywhere I look, I see a Patriots fan whining about the fact that their team was investigated for Deflategate. Don't you have anything better to do? Your team is 4-0 this season (against weaker teams with the possible exception of the Steelers, but still) and you still won't stop complaining about something that happened months ago.

  • What do quarterbacks have to do to be considered "elite"?

Do they have to be the stereotypical quarterback who's great at passing from the pocket? Do they have to have a million Super Bowl rings? Do they have to be the biggest reason their team has success? Do they have to have flashy stats?

Or do they just have to win even if they might not throw for six TDs every single game?

  • What do you think of Percy Harvin's recent statement on why his time in Seattle sucked?

He said that he didn't enjoy being in Seattle because he thought the other receivers didn't like him. The altercation with Doug Baldwin apparently happened because he wanted to handle things "man to man"

If that's true, then this is what handling things "man to man" means to Harvin.

    1. Start shouting curse words and advance on your teammate until your personal trainer is trying to restrain you.

    2. Allow yourself to be led outside and make yourself at least appear to be calm.

    3. Once you're back inside, you explode and lash out at your teammate as soon as he's within striking distance. You are escorted outside again, this time with blood on your hands.

    4. You are led off the premises.

  • Which team should I be rooting for in the 2015 season opener?

The Seahawks aren't playing in the season opener, but hey, it IS the first regular season game for the NFL. How can I not watch that?

I like to watch football, and sometimes I'll watch games that the Seahawks aren't playing in so I can learn more about the game. And it's not much fun as a fan to watch a football game and not be rooting for one side, even if I don't particularly care about either one, so I always end up being partial to one side for two hours.

However, the season opener is being played between the two teams I hate most. So, which team should I be supporting that day?

  • Were the Patriots wrong to suspend Malcolm Butler?

I'm really shocked that they would do that. For one, he was late to VOLUNTARY OTAs, so it's not like he missed anything mandatory. For another, he let them know he was going to be late. It's not as though he walked into OTAs halfway through one of the workouts sipping Coke and eating a corn dog. He was late because something out of his control caused him to miss his plane. I think the Patriots were being unreasonable here.

  • How much should Russell Wilson get paid?

Let's be honest, they have to pay him. They don't have a backup that can replace him.

Before you give me crap about Wilson being overrated, let me ask you something. If QBs like Aaron Rodgers and Andrew Luck are so much better, why is it that Wilson was the one who played in 2 Super Bowls in a row and won his first one in only his second year (and came one horrible call away from repeating)? Yes, he has a great defense to work with, but the defense doesn't give Wilson 15 4th quarter comebacks, help him pass for 300 yards and rush for 100 yards in the same game, or become the only quarterback in history to rush for 100 yards and a touchdown and pass for over 200 yards and throw a touchdown in a MNF Game. He has never lost a game in overtime before (and last time I checked, the OT comebacks against the Packers and Broncos were staged entirely by Wilson).

Will Wilson ever pass for 1,000 yards in a season or throw for as many touchdowns as Rodgers, Brady, or even Luck? No, not with the Seahawks running their offense the way they do. But the point of being a quarterback is to lead your team to championships. And Wilson has done that, hasn't he? Besides, if Wilson is only good because of Marshawn Lynch, does that mean that Brady is only good because he has great WRs? Does that mean that Peyton Manning would suck if he didn't have Demaryius Thomas? Were the Patriots only good because they had Revis and Browner? Is Gronk the only reason for their success on offense?

  • Is Revis REALLY better than Sherman?

    Sherman's stats:

    2011- 4 INT

    2012- 8 INT

    2013- 8 INT

    2014- 4 INT

    Revis' stats:

    2007- 3 INT

    2008- 5 INT

    2009- 6 INT

    2010- 0 INT

    2011- 4 INT

    2012- 1 INT

    2013- 2 INT

    2014- 2 INT

Sherman: INT in the NFC Championship that arguably helped save the game, injured for most of NFC Championship and Super Bowl and STILL didn't get thrown at.

Revis: great during the AFC Championship, then allowed Doug Baldwin to get WIDE open in the end zone.

I know everyone says Revis is the best, but news flash, it's not 2011 anymore.

  • Do you think the Deflategate investigatiion has been poorly handled?

I think Goodell has been screwing around again. Isn't it convenient that Deflategate would be the hot topic of the NFL for about a week after the NFC/AFC Championship games, quiet down just in time for the Super Bowl, and then suddenly be brought up again almost three months later?

It seems to me like Goodell is just trying to save face. He is (or was, I'm not sure) friends with Robert Kraft, so he didn't want to jeopardize their friendship by punishing Brady (or the Patriots). But when he realized that a lot of people considered him a complete moron for not punishing the Patriots, he was pretty quick to hand them the four-game suspension, $1m fine, and loss of draft picks...after a Wells report came out that was about 240 pages longer than necessary.

  • Should I be worried?

Jimmy Graham is supposed to be the Seahawks big offensive weapon next year, and he was acquired in a trade. The last time the Seahawks traded for a true offensive playmaker, well, we all know how that turned out. Do we (as in Seahawks fans) need to be concerned about the same thing happening here?

  • Why is Cromartie changing his tone?

So according to him Sherman isn't the best corner in the league, but last year he said he was (http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/01/15/cr... Why is he suddenly changing his tone?

Personally, I think the only reason he's saying it is because he gets to play opposite Revis now. Who, if you remember, got burned in the Super Bowl when he fell on his *** trying to cover Baldwin, our supposed "average" pedestrian receiver.

I think Cromartie needs to shut up and go take care of his 12 kids.

  • What do you think about players like Richard Sherman who apparently "talk too much"?

I don't have any problem with players who talk trash. In my opinion, that's part of what makes football exciting. Can you imagine how boring every interview would be if all we ever heard was "We were just playing Seahawks football", "[Random Player from the opposing team] is really talented", etc.? That's literally how nearly every single post-game interview goes, and I find it refreshing when I see a player being completely upfront and honest about what he thinks about a certain opponent.

The only time I think players should keep their mouths shut is when the player they're trying to trash talk is clearly superior to them.

  • Can someone tell me the title for this rhyme?

NO, this is not for school, but I came across this online and wanted to know the title.

Of all the damsels on the green

    On mountain or in valley

A lass so luscious ne'er was seen

    As Monticellian Sally

    Yankee Doodle, who's the noodle

What wife were half so handy

To breed a flock of slaves for stock

    A blackamoor's the dandy

Search every town and city through

    Search market, street, and alley

No dame at dusk shall meet your view

    As yielding as my Sally

    (Yankee Doodle, etc.)

When press'd with loads of state affairs

I seek to sport and dally

The sweetest solace of my cares

Is in the lap of Sally

    (Yankee Doodle, etc.)

Let Yankee parsons preach their worst

    Let Tory Wittling's rally

You men of morals! and be curst

You would snap like sharks for Sally

She's black you tell me-grant she be-

    Must color always tally?

Black is love's proper hue for me

And white's the hue for Sally

What though she by the glands secretes

    Must I stand shil-I shall-I

Tucked up between a pair of sheets

    There's no perfume like Sally

You call her slave-and pray were slaves

    Made only for the galley?

Try for yourselves, ye witless knaves

Take each to bed your Sally

    Yankee Doodle, who's the noodle

    Wine's vapid, tope me brandy

For I still find to breed my kind

    A *****-wench the dandy

The sad thing is, I memorized the song and I forgot the title, but now the website I got the rhyme from is blocked by the school filter.

  • Who do you think is most likely going to be cut after this season and why?

I think Ricardo Lockette is gone after this year. He's an elite gunner (for the most part), but that's literally ALL he can do. We signed him so he could play receiver, and so far he's been as bad as a player of his size and speed could possibly be at that position. There's a reason the Seahawks decided to tender him instead of trying to give him a longer extension, and that's because he's the most replaceable WR on the depth chart. Now that we have Tyler Lockett, who can play receiver, gunner, and KR/PR, I think this is the last we see of the old Lockette.

My sister's goldfish is floating on its side, but it's still alive. We don't know what happened; when we went to feed them today it was lying on it's side. Any advice on what to do for him, because he's my sister's favorite fish.

  • Name a team other than your own that you would like to see win a Super Bowl.?

I wouldn't mind seeing the Colts win a Super Bowl. I like Andrew Luck; he seems pretty awesome. Not to mention that by winning a Super Bowl, it means that the Colts would have finally beaten the Patriots.

  • Why are my times faster in practice than in meets?

My coach occasionally has us do sets of 50s for time. My best stroke is the breaststroke, and I'm consistently at 35 or 36 seconds (I'm not the best sprinter; my best event is the 200 BR). But at meets when I swim the 100 breaststroke, my 50 split is never below a 38.
