Trimming bearded dragon's nails?

My bearded dragon's nails are long to the point where they are curling and I think they might be hurting her toes when she walks. Is there a way to safely trim them at home? I've trimmed off the tiny black points at the end but that doesn't really do anything about the length.

personally, I use a nail file. It's easier and safer. Clipping works, but you need to be careful and do as instructed above. You can also get One of those fancy nail devices that looks line a dremmel, and use a bit with soft grit. I know a breeder that uses these on all their dragons.

You need to clip her claws in stages, maybe every 5 days, with baby nail clippers.

Be careful to only trim the tips of the nails - where there is no live tissue or blood vessels.

If uncertain about what you are doing, get somebody to hold a bright flashlight behind the claws so you can see where the dead tissue of the nails stops.

I would trim the nail where it is hanging. yes it will grow back. You can file their nails with an emery board to keep them from being real sharp and catching on things.

I don't worry about the nails. The rocks in her enclosure she's always climbing on seen to keep them worn down.
