How much people act so silly trying to stave off age. I don't hate anything about life, sad to say my ankles and Achilles tendonitis are a pain but overall I have a lot. I love and I am loved. I've lived all over the world, I live with an open attitude, I try not to fret or hate...my biggest curse is not taking things too seriously and being overly sarcastic; oh and Globally I am one of the Greatest Poets of All Time, with peperoni.

I hate that I lost my looks in the last three years. Who would have thought of the difference between forty-five and forty-eight. Not that I set much store in how my face looked, but now I look like I have been beaten or need a good dose of prune juice. I also gained weight, I am losing it now, but there for a time, I could not stop eating. Pasta was my downfall, oh give me a big bowl of it, Please! I could still eat Kraft macaroni and cheese, or in a pinch Velveeta.

One thing I have noticed tho' is my thinking is clearer. It is almost as if here I am and there was the weight., the loss of face - but I have a better brain.

Actually now I am looking forward to being older. My hair is almost white now and by the time I am fifty I hope to have a long braid - also patterned clothes, even tie dyed. Ha! I will also eat many fruits and vegetables.

Understanding things and knowing the truth about things such as Santa at Christmas etc., while as a child there was still so much magic and wonder, so many dreams still to be had.

When we are young, I guess, we remember things we are better off forgetting. As we get older, instead, we keep forgetting things we want to remember; as Billy Collins puts it "as if, one by one, the memories you used to harbor decided to retire to the southern hemisphere of the brain, to a little fishing village where there are no phones."

I care less and less about what people think about me. Life is not a popularity contest, and ultimately you only have to answer to yourself.

when you're young, you want to be old, you want to grow older.

but when you're older, you want to be younger again, so i would say, wanting to be younger.
