WW1:
Germany and Russia fought.
Russia collapsed into Civil War, called Truce with Germany.
WW2:
Germany and Russian had a truce and split Poland.
Germany back-stabbed Russia and invaded, massacring countless Villages.
During this point both sides vehemently hated the opposing sides ideologies and feared one another.
Russia stood its ground and pushed back and took all the land up to Berlin for itself.
