Keeping bread fresh...?
Newly installed central heating in my whole apartment block has made kitchen so warm (don't have heater on in there) that bread is going green so soon.
Keeping in the fridge is even worse and speeds up bacteria.
So any tips please? Or do i have to keep it in a dark box by an open window or something silly?
Cheers..

Freezing it will keep it from going off.
If it is a whole loaf, before freezing it, just slice it into the thickness you like, wrap it well and voila.
The bread will stay fresh like that for a long time.

Freeze the bread. Out in toaster to defrost and twice to make toast works perfect and stays fresh!

you should try putting your bread while still in the bag in a bread box or something. one of those things you can lift up..or maybe in the fridge? it'll stay fresher longer that way .
