Assassin's Creed 3 won't work anymore?

I bought AC3 on Black Friday and it was working perfectly fine. And then, like a week and a half ago I started to play it and it told me to update. I started the update, but quit mid-way through (so I don't think it finished downloading). Since then the game doesn't go past the "This game was made my a team with multicultural member with various beliefs" screen. Last night I deleted the update, re downloaded it. It didn't work. I then deleted the update and all of my saved data, and it still didn't work. What else is there to do?

Is the disk scratched? If it is that could be the problem. If that doesn't work try clearing your Cache. Also when your in your Hard Drive does the Game Logo show an Exclamation mark? If it does that means one of the files has an error on it. Look for the file in it and delete it and re-download it.

DO THIS TO CONFIRM WHICH ONE IS THE PROBLEM: YOUR XBOX OR THE DISK- Try using a friend's Xbox with your Disk and see if it has problems. If it doesn't then this confirms that the disk has problems. If it doesn't work then it's because the Disk.

If none of those work, ask a friend who has the game and install theirs on to your Hard Drive, give it back to them once your done installing it, and place your disk into the Disk Tray and see if that works. Once it installs the game it should be playable even with a damaged disk (after installing you still have to have the disk in the disk tray to play it; damaged disk or an undamaged disk).

IF NONE OF THOSE WORK. Then it's because a file on your Xbox. It's not because the Disk, but the Xbox, or game files.
