If you've got your act together in life, does it really matter who is in office?

I mean, regardless of who is in office, you either have what it takes or you don't. Here lately, (most notably Obama vs. Romney), it seemed either side was really concerned with electing someone that would make things better for them. Is that what our founders had in mind?

    It kinda does

If you got it 'together' as you put in and are in good shape and then the govt finds a way to take your stuff that matters.

I'll give you and example. I am married and my wife and I have good jobs but through someover spending we are in debt. We relize this and we have back on things and we are clibing our way out but it is a struggle. If nothing is done our income taxes our going to go up 13% not to mention the SS increase and my health incurace increase so we'll will be forced to cut back more, redo our loans or go bankrupt. The first and third option I don't want to do and the second I'm not sure I can do.

    Anyway it does matter

The point of the Presidence is to set up likewise ideologies to myself. As an example, birth control/contraception/family planning; energy planning; education planning and the like.

It doesn't until those in office tear you down to build someone else up.

Yes. Just because I have my act together doesn't mean I want to pay for all the people who don't have their act together.

Not on micro level, just the macro level.

    Of course it does.
