Computer repair shop didn't repair laptop?
2 months ago, I turned on my toshiba satellite ( 2 years old) and the screen did not turn on. I took it to a computer repair shop close to my home so that they could fix it. They told me it had to do with the motherboard so they would replace it. It took two months until I got my laptop back, and they charged $200.00. So I took it home and then I noticed that the USB drives did not work. So I took it back, and I had to wait another 2 weeks, but they gave me a temporary laptop. Finally i got it back last week, and then yesterday, the same problem I had two months ago happened again. I called yesterday to tell them, and they said they are gonna just get me a new laptop. However, I am concerned because I really liked my current laptop, and I am not sure if they are going to get a second-hand laptop. Should I just ask for my money back and take it to see if they can fix it elsewhere? What should I do? Thank you.

hi and welcome to tsf i found this. Hold down the '0' (zero) key while pressing the power button, it will open a recovery wizard that will guide you through it. i will assume that means on booting up the comp if this does get you to the recovery area you should be able to restore your comp to factory settings you will however loose any files etc you had saved.also please make the recovery disc/discs when restored
Press
Windows key + q
type in
msconfig
Click the "General" tab
Check mark
Diagnostic start up
Apply, ok it , reboot
Should start in safe mode
another deep error check this 1 takes a hour, use the command prompt, type chkdsk/space/r, this will fix registry error's over all ur system, cause that what's wrong they could have a smiple reg., defrager for it

This is what happens when you don't research and get your computer repaired from any random guy.
Always go for companies which are referred by at least a few people. I always go to one company no matter how big or small the problem is. They are the only ones I can trust. Have a look for yourself.

Money back and try get a custom build desktop. If not I recommend a Sony Vaio or any good modern Dell will do. Although a custom build would be cheaper and a better value for money.
