With the shootings today in Conn. and the others in the past 6 months do you think they will push bans more so?

Who are breeding these twisted individuals who have to shoot up every place now? This is getting sickening. Now I have no doubt in my mind that the Obummer Administration soon after the inauguration that they will initiate another weapons ban. What are your thoughts on what could happen in the coming months?

Oh yeah...you can bet on it. Obama will jump on this like Botox on Pelosi except he will act through his stooges. Expect a brutal fight with full support of the Liberal media for sweeping anti-gun legislation even before all the victims are buried.

I do believe this could be The Big One.

There will be more talk about gun bans, there will be more talk about ammo limits, there will be more talk about stricter limits on who can get a gun, via more checks. But the one thing that everyone doing all the "talk", will be this, NOTHING PRODUCTIVE that will have any baring on how criminals obtain firearms.

The criminal elements already side steps all current laws, and will continue to side step any new laws and restrictions to getting guns of any type. And anyone that is mentally unfit to own a gun, will be able to get one at any time from friends, neighbors and family, and lets not forget all the "crazy" people that became "crazy" AFTER they were able to pass background checks, and having bought guns, months or years later after the fact

So yeah, there will be an outcry for gun bans and stricter gun laws/control. But in the end, it will ONLY make it harder for lawful citizens from buying and owning guns to protect themselves.

    Yes.

The anti-gunners control the news outlet, so any such tragedy is given full press coverage while instances where gun-owners stop a crime or prevented further loss of life are suppressed. The imbalance in coverage is deliberate and with the goal to slant public opinions so when the time is right a ban would be all but unstoppable.

There will certainly be attempts at instituting bans. However, assuming that the right people are on the appropriate committees in the House of Representatives, nothing will happen. BUT, after the 2014 elections, who knows?

Yes, I think Obama and the Dems will shamelessly use this tragedy to push their anti-gun ideology upon us. I hope everyone who loves their second amendment freedom is ready for a fight, because I think there's a storm coming.

In my years I have always seen this pattern. When the economy is bad, as it is now. Many people loose hope. More suicides and more rampages. The Government then has to reconcile this to the public. How ?

LET"S BAN GUNS. They will never admit their role in the morale of our people.

Here It goes and the cable media will pile on.

With recent court decisions it would pretty much require a constitutional amendment. That isn't going to happen.
