iMovie for the MacBook?
What is the oldest (and possibly cheapest) MacBook which has an iMovie on it??
I really want to buy one for Christmas but the only reason why I want a MacBook is because of iMovie. Thank you so much! ^_^
hm.. That's what I thought too.. But, I've heard that if the MacBook doesn't haveOS 10.6 (Snow Leopard) then you don't have iMovie. Someone care to explain please? O_o

All macbooks have iMovie however there are 9 versions of iMovie from 1999 to present day.
It all depends on which version OSX the machine has as to which version of iMovie it will support.
Some say that the 2006 iMovie HD is still the best.
You need to find out what OSX the machine has or more importantly what chip as to what version of OSX you can upgrade to.
I am running the latest iMovie on a 2008 black macbook with OSX 10.7.5
Type iMovie into Wikipedia for a complete listing.

Hi there Sabrina G, i do not realize a requirement like that. That's very unusual. You can think that you just could easily mail them a tape or DVD. If your video digicam is a digital video digital camera that has a Firewire connection, then you could transfer the digital video to your MacBook making use of iMovie to create the film. This can be a tremendous-sized file to send by way of an e-mail though. If this is too technical, or you lack the form of digital camera, probably you might go through the phone book under video and spot if there may be a organization in your field that would switch the video portraits that you just require. Most of them cost a precise cost per hour of video. Best of luck to you. --Rick

iMovie has been bundled with Macs since the original iMacs in 1999 running Mac OS 8.6.
