Nope. The Mayans never implied that the world was going to end two days from now in the first place. It's a bunch of bullshit, and unfortunately, people love to believe everything they hear. I really wish people wouldn't adopt some belief without thinking it through because that way of thinking holds society back. The world will not end in two days, I promise.

The only thing I believe is that come Friday, Y/A will be swamped with a whole new set of questions like---"Why didn't the world come to an end like everyone said?"
- Eclectic HereticLv 78 years ago
Absolutely. Out of 7 billion people in the world, some percentage of them will die on Friday. Even a small percentage of 7 billion still amounts to as lot of people. For them, their world will end on that day. For those of us (hopefully, I will be one of them) still around on the 22nd, no, the world is not ending on Friday. Ask me again on Saturday and I'll tell you how I made out on that.
Blessings on your Journey!

The churches of Christendom have to be destroyed......the cry of peace and security has to be cried......the great tribulation has to begin......after a while the King will ride at Armageddon.....a spiritual war between Satan and Jesus...satan is jailed.....then the end.....of this system..not the world.....the world abides forever and the meek inherit the earth....and live in peace forever.
Short answer...probably not

The thing is, the Mayan calandar didn't account for leap years so the world should have ended in September. Plus it has already recycled a few times. So even if I were superstitious enough to believe something like that, I still wouldn't because I make sure I know my facts.

no but if they keep hyping it up, a bunch of stupid people are going to start doing stupid sh*t and it will be a self-fulfilling prophesy to some people. A bunch of armed lunatics in combat fatigues talking to God on a 2 way radio, muttering incoherent slogans about freedom will see something on the news and freak out, and form yet another fringe "doomsday cult" militia whose sole purpose is to try to start a war.

Why? Why are you being so contrary? You're going to ruin my end of world party, nobody's going to show up if you keep spreading these lies!
