@may, I get your point but to say that ALL musicians that are/were famous do not deserve to be held in high esteem is false. Acts like Bob Marley, Chuck Berry and Patsy Cline, etc have definitely earned the distinction of being legendary figures in music...

Jessie J and U2. In my humble opinion. All their songs are an assault on the senses. Well not U2 to begin with, but for a long while now.

Practically everyone who is or was famous. This is showbusiness- it's all smoke and mirrors. In other words, image and publicity. Rock stars are meant to be admired, so they put a lot of work into having an image that works for them (and their record company supports that, too) It's always funny to me to see a picture of behind-the-scenes important people like Seymour Stein with an artist. They look so meek and like they are dressed in a costume. It's all a cloud of smoke....
