Chosing Greyscale print option on mac not working...please help?
I have a full black in cartridge and an empty color. I chose greyscale to print my boarding pass and it still prints in color (blank). How do I get it to use the black in cartridge.

It sounds as if you may have a small blockage in the black portion of your printhead (assuming you have an inkjet printer). I would recommend running a few cleaning cycles from the printer/printer software. This will hopefully clear the blockage allowing you to continue printing.
Hope this helps.

WITH MOST PRINTERS, you are required to have ink in both the black and color ink cartridges in order to print in black as color ink is needed in this process. They work in conjunction with each other. So you will need to have the both color and black ink cartridges with ink, the same thing applies for color. It also is used as a lubricant that also helps to prevent print head damage.
In the printer driver, there is an option for "gray scale" printing. That
should use only the black cartridge , but you also will need a usable color cartridge installed for that option as some color ink is also used
