CPU question. What cache is a description (like 6M Cache) referring to (L2, L3, or L4)?

I noticed that If I searched for a certain CPU, In the description on any website I go to they only say something like 6M cache or 8M cache. They don't tell me what cache this is referring to. They don't even tell me how many caches are in the CPU. Am i just supposed to assume this means L3 cache? Then how am I supposed to know the memory of the L2 cache?

It is not always L3 cache. If this information is not listed on the resellers website then you need to get that CPU moddle and look on the manufactures website for that information. They will most likely have the detailed specs.
