where can I find cancer donations statistics?
Such as how much is donated/raised for cancer in the United States per year, or for a time period, or for all time. Also stats about worldwide donations, and donations from other contries. Also stats about the amounts raised for different types of cancer.
Any help you can give is appreciated, the websites you give don't have to have all this information.
2 AnswersCancer7 years agoStores asking for full name and phone number?
Why are some stores now asking everyone for their full name and phone numbers? I have encountered this at First Choice Haircutters and a local game store. I always ask the people at First Choice why they are asking. They respond with, "We need it for our system". When I press them for more information, they avoid the question and just say, "if you don't want to give your information that's fine." What's the deal? I find it pretty creepy that they are keeping tabs on all their customers like this.
5 AnswersOther - Business & Finance7 years agoTheory of pangea is foolish?
Is it just me, or is the theory of pangea/continental drift the most nonsensical, idiotic theory in existence. Here's an illustration. Take a table and call the table top the Earth's mantle. Lay a piece of card on the table and call this the crust. Draw a map of the earth on the card. Cut it into pieces according to what the Earth's plates look like (you basically have a plate for each continent). Now your Earth looks like a jigsaw puzzle of sorts and everything is in the right position. Now try moving a plate (let's take one of the continents) to a different location by sliding it. As you see, it's impossible because it's surrounded by other plates! I'm guessing the founders of this theory didn't realize there was crust under the oceans! But let's give the old chaps a break and say you can slide one of the continent plates on top of the ocean plates. Ok, so we do that. But wait a second. Holy cow! Now the size of the earth's crust is magnitudes smaller, and, whoa!, I can see the Earth's mantle in the places where the plates moved!
Conclusion: This theory is broken.
6 AnswersEarth Sciences & Geology8 years agoCanadian pennies retired?
So are they planning on removing one cent coins altogether or are they replacing copper pennies with one cent coins of another metal? It would make more sense to replace them with coins of a cheaper material. I don't like the sound of having to round up or down with every transaction. It's tedious and it's unfair.
5 AnswersCurrent Events8 years agoCPU question. What cache is a description (like 6M Cache) referring to (L2, L3, or L4)?
I noticed that If I searched for a certain CPU, In the description on any website I go to they only say something like 6M cache or 8M cache. They don't tell me what cache this is referring to. They don't even tell me how many caches are in the CPU. Am i just supposed to assume this means L3 cache? Then how am I supposed to know the memory of the L2 cache?

I'm planning on doing a good amount of gaming with this computer and I know I'm going to buy a good graphics card. In that case, will the integrated graphics core on the CPU do anything? Will it add to the performance of my graphics? In other words, will it add to the power of my graphics card? Or will it do nothing a be useless?
5 AnswersDesktops8 years agoWhat is the difference between a DVD/CD-RW drive and a "burner"?
Are these the same things? The "burner" is the drive, right? If so, does the word "burner" necessarily mean the drive is "rewritable" or does it only mean it is "recordable" or can it mean either?
4 AnswersDesktops8 years agohow to burn large amount of audio onto a disc and play it?
So, what I want is to be able to put a lot of audio (let's say 2 hours & up) onto a disc and then be able to play it back in a portable disc player. Standard Cds won't work since they only hold 80 mins. I heard that DVDs can hold up to 120mins but that there arn't any players made for DVDs. Is this true? Also, I heard that you can burn mp3 files onto a CD and then if you have a compatible MP3 CD player, that will work and it will hold a lot more than 80 mins. Is this true? If so, how many minutes will it hold? And would this work on regular CD-Rs or would you need to buy a special kind of disc?
I also had another idea. Can you buy cheap MP3 players that can store hours of audio but don't come with any bells and whistles? They're only purpose would be to store the audio and play it back and they wouldn't require a screen or a rewritable ability. They would have to be really cheap (under $10). Their main purpose would be audio storage. They would be just like your regular music CDs except they have a lot larger capacity. Thanks for your answers!
2 AnswersMusic & Music Players8 years agoHow to show grid lines with measurements in Microsoft Word?
I know how to open up a grid and how to change the spacing of the lines, but I need to know how to get Word to label the grid with measurements. Example: vertical lines are spaced 0.25 cm apart. Reading across the screen I would see 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, 1, and so on, labelled at the top of the vertical lines. Is there a way to do this? It would make things a lot easier.

1 AnswerOther - Careers & Employment9 years agowhy are cow farts bad, but natural gas is good?
The bad things about the cow fart is its methane content. Natural gas is almost all methane. Cow farting is being blamed for "global warming".
Is it because when you burn the methane, the residue is not harmful to the air?

1 AnswerOther - Careers & Employment9 years agoDo you think that microsoft products are becoming worse each year?
Just want your opinion. In my opinion, yes because their products are becoming less customizable, don't give you enough options, the formatting has gotten worse, and its harder to stay organized and get things accomplished. I'm talking mostly about Microsoft Word 2010 and the Windows 7 operating system. But I would still rank Microsoft higher than Apple.
4 AnswersSoftware9 years agowindows seven mouse scroll wheel BAD PROBLEM?
Clicking on the mouse scroll wheel will bring me out of the present screen, back to the desktop, with a panel in the middle. In the panel are mini versions of the tabs that were in my taskbar. Clicking one of the minis brings me to one of those tabs. Once I go through that, the scroll function of the wheel becomes disabled, and it instead zooms in and out. I want nothing to happen when I click the wheel. How do you fix this problem? It only started happening after getting Windows 7.
