20 year old magic chef range?
Does anyone know how to turn on the "Self cleaning feature" on a 20 year old magic chef gas range. I have never needed to use this feature in all this time that i have had this gas range, lost the manual somewhere along the way. its old and has the old time knoby clock that you have to turn manually. thank you.....

it may lock and never unlock. easy off, orr a 1/5 of rum, some sos and coke and a chair

I'm not sure I'd want to risk running self cleaning for the first time on a 20yo range. Self cleaning amounts to running the oven at 500F until the dirt is turned to ash and can be wiped out.

If I were you, I wouldn't even try it. You may never be able to get rid of the stench. Oven cleaner and elbow grease. Sorry.
