So libs if you ban all firearms then what will the evil people use instead of guns?

Oh they'd still use guns, I mean they're criminals why the fudge would they give a damn about the law to begin with?

They believe that with guns being banned, all the criminals will throw down their weapons, because they (supposedly) will respect the law. Then we can all sit in a drum circle, handing flowers to each other and singing Kumbaya. They want to take the gun out of the equation because of the sophisticated mind control abilities that guns have to turn an upstanding member of society into a mass killer.

Obviously, though, what they believe is totally wrong. History, facts, and simple logic is NOT on their side. Criminals don't follow laws... It's why they're called criminals in the first place. It's nothing more than cowardice, trying to hide from the sad (but true) reality that there is a much deeper problem here, and that guns are NOT the problem. A coward will choose the easy way, to scapegoat an inanimate object. It takes courage to face the problems of humanity and discuss the problems.

No one is suggesting that all firearms be banned. So you are starting out by being dishonest. What is being suggested is banning further sale of "assault weapons," high capacity magazines and to tighten registration and background check requirements.

Now, here's the thign. Cosnervatives can get on board on this -- and responsible conservatives already are. The yokels on the far right can ding in thre heels, of course, and block needed chages. If that happens, they will simply solidify gon control advocates and the end result -- sooner or later -- will be harsh restrictions on ANY guns.

I do not want to see that happen -- I support the right of any law-abiding citizen to have a gun. But if you cons persist in your name-calling, lies and refusal to meet anyone half way, you are going to provoke measures that WILL take away your guns.

Put another way: if you persist in acting like a spoild brat, daddy is going to take your toys away from you.
