Best .45 auto available?

What's your opinion? Colt, Kimber, Para Ordinance ect. I'm looking to buy and just thought I'd get a few opinions...seeing I haven't fired one in 30 years I'm not up on newer innovations or improvements.

Colt Series 70. These guns are out of production and were made in the 1970s. But there are still a lot of them floating around and available on the shelves as pre-owned pistols at some gun shops.

Colt supposedly upgraded their guns with the Series 80 pistols - but it just made the internal mechanism more complicated. Most gunsmiths don't like working on the Series 80 guns.

Wilson Combat, Ed Brown or Les Baer.

Be prepared to pay $1800-$3000 however.
