Where can i find/get a 22lr with the horizontal under barrel magazine?

I have a fairly old semi auto 22 rifle that has a horizontal magazine right under the barrel that holds 17 bullets. I can only find new guns with like 10 round clips which is lame in comparison lol. What is that part called also? Can I build a custom 22 rifle with this? Im new to all this so any info and websites that help people build 22s or list parts etc would be awesome. Could I machine my own and incorporate it into an existing rifle? It will be used just for fun around the property.

Much thanks

Im in California also

In all reality you can't build one ( you can build anything if you have enough money ).But I'm wondering whats wrong with the one you have ? ( it's not a Remington 550-1 by chance is it ? )

    I got your back kid T's U

  • That's called a tube, the first .22 lr to come to mind that has that is the Marlin 60 which is about $150.

Also,YOU'RE limited to 10 rounds, outside of California we can have as many rounds in a magazine as we want,I have a 25 round mag for my .22lr and a bunch of 30 round magazines for my 5.56.

In California since you're limited to 10 rounds in a mag i'd just get a tube that holds more.
