Issues restoring macbook?

I know how to restore my MacBook (late 2009), but the install disk that came in the box is Leopard, not Mountain Lion, and when i insert the disk, a window opens and says "you cant use this version of the application with this version of OS X."

do i need to buy a mtn lion disk? other ways to solve the problem?

thanks.

How are you attempting to restoration it? you are able to no longer erase the energeticpersistent utilising Disk application, so which you will possibly desire to the two be utilising the OS X deploy disk (Snow Leopard or before) or restoration Partition (Lion).
