why is it when you are experiencing extreme hunger you feel like vomiting?

Sometimes when I'm extremely hungry I feel like i'm going to vomit. But once I eat Its like I can feel everything in my stomach. Like the cold water going to my stomach etc. Why is that?

Because when you don't eat your stomach starts to shrink slowly. The walls of your stomach start pushing against one another causing you to feel sick. The feeling goes away when you eat food causing your stomach to expand.

Basically when your stomach has food coating the linings you can't feel stuff through that lining all that easily, but when your empty your stomach is filled with gas that makes you tummy hurt and it keeps pushing and gives you the feeling of vomiting.

It is possibly just a reaction from the smell or something.
