Does Congress deserve a raise? What have they done o deserve it?

None of them should get a pay check until a budget is passed and the fiscal cliff is taken care of. The President should also be impeached for not submitting a budget. It is a law that he has to present a budget each year. Obama is such an idiot he doesn't even know where to begin. The children that love and elected him are the ones that are going to suffer from what he has done with the economy. He truly is the antichrist to mesmerize so many.

The cost of living increase is automatic for government employees, including Congress, unless Congress changes it. The President can, by executive order, freeze it, but that doesn't wipe it out. Eventually he has to remove the freeze and the employees then get all the increases they are entitled to.

Social Security recipients get increases, Federal and State pensioners get increases, union workers get increases, most white collar management gets increases. Probably the only ones who don't are right to work employees.

How convenient that you forgot to mention that the raise is not something congress did but an Obama executive order. You know your savior the one who can do no wrong.

Congressman A proposes raising their pay by $100,000 per year.

Congressman B proposes reducing that increase to $50,000 per year - then runs ads touting his ability to save millions of dollars over 10 years.

umm is this a joke? they only have the most important job in the world. making sure the economy wont completely tank, making sure that we are the worlds superpower so we wont get nuked off the face of the planet, making laws so that society wont decent into chaos, you know that sort of thing, if anyone deserves a raise, it is us congress! and besides, if you don't like it, just vote them out of office. we are the ones who elected them thus they are representing us. get it?
