My scalp won't stop itching!!!?
For maybe almost a year now, my head has been constantly itchy. It's not lice though (my family got that before and we now check each other regularly so I know I don't have lice).
I think it's a dandruff problem, but it's out of control. One minute I'll be fine and then I'll get one little itch. But after a few minutes I'll scratch again and again, and then I can't stop. Once I start scratching I can't stop. I want to say it's an "addiction" but I don't think so. I scratch so hard that I get the skin under my nails and my scalp starts to bleed. The itching started again not 20 minutes ago and my scalp is currently bleeding as I type this (not majorly but enough to see it!!)
I've tried using multiple dandruff shampoos but they don't help at all. The problem is horrible because I'm a 16 year old girl and I hate walking around scratching my head or with huge chunks of dandruff sitting in my hair or flying around. It's nasty and I don't know what to do. Help!!!

I would say to see a dermatologist or wash your hair with a baby shampoo for sensitive skin then wash without shampoo to rinse it all out. Give a day or two w/o shampooing at all to let the oils replenish in your scalp. Use a brush to stimulate the oil and move it around on your scalp. See if you are over washing or using too harsh of shampoo. If you have that bad of dandruff and it's actually dandruff you need to see a doctor. You can end up with other skin issues if you scratch til you bleed.

HI: I have itching of the scalp. I was told to try different shampoos and conditioners from the health food store also rinse hair with apple cider vinegar or sage. Hot olive oil or coconut oil treatments also work. Limit sugar and carbohydrates. Take flax-seed oil daily vitamin A, E and C are very important. Massage scalp for increased circulation. Do not brush scalp it will further cause itching. Wash hair 3 times a week. Try baby shampoo from health food store. Increase fruit, vegetable and fiber in your diet. These are my suggestions. God bless you.

See a doctor? I'm not sure sounds like you've tried every thing I would recommend. Maybe you should take some vitamins
