If your getting a tattoo, do you have to tell tattooist you have numbing cream on?
I want a tattoo but I'm very sensitive to pain and ideally i want to feel as little as possible. I want to use numbing cream, you put it on 30mins before tattoo.. so i was wondering do you have to tell the tattooist you have it on? a friend told her tattooist & he refused to tattoo on her? I am in Northern Ireland, if anyone can recommend any good numbing creams or tattooists (who don't mind me using numbing cream) :)

Many artists don't like to use it, because it saturates the skin, making it harder for it to take ink. Sometimes it works okay, for small pieces. Just remember, it only numbs the skin for about sixty minutes or so, tops. Most tattoos take longer than that. You don't HAVE to tell him anything, but he'll probably figure it out pretty quick on his own. Good luck with it. Happy New Year!
