My son got invited to his first birthday party.?

Birthday gifts depend on the region where you live and the "social" group. I would for average kids and average party you want a gift that looks like you spent around $15-$20 (of course feel free to shop clearance.) If he will be part of a preschool group where bday invitations are common - many parents pick up generic boy and girl gifts when they see them on a great sale/clearance deal and keep a bin in a closet/garage so when invitation comes in the child can go pick from the bin what they think their friend will like rather than mom having to always run to the store. :)

Just read other comments...$50 is crazy for a little kids bday party...unless you are related and have that kind of money....

I normally spend around $5-$10 but I am a clearance shopper and buy things when they are 60% or more off so it always looks like I spend more than I actually did.

Don't spend too much. I'd say something in the price range of 10-25 dollars. It'd also help if you knew what he liked. Sometimes you might see a great price for a present, so do look out for those.

You could easily get a great gift for under $20.00 for suure! Boys that age are easy to buy for..

what is he into?..Cars are super cheap..matchbox sets are often on sale..The boy won't care if you spent $2.00 or $200 on the gift, he justs want a "cool" toy her can play with!
