How did you pick your college?

I'm not asking for advice on how I should pick my college (I already know where I'm going), but I was just wondering how other people made that final decision on where they ended up going. And do you still agree with your choice now?

I'm studying at Cambridge University and I am in my second year. I do believe I made the right choice as I am studying at a prestigious university, getting a top class education, I have made so many friends and I am having the time of my life <3 it wasn't that hard when I made my mind up about which university I wanted to study at, but I made my decision based on the campus life and what I liked and due to university's reputation. Good luck x

I selected a few based on what programs they offered and how far they were (I did NOT want to live at home and commute, so I picked ones that were at least 60 minutes away) but I didn't want to be too far away (so nothing more than 3 hours away). Then I took a tour of each of them. Someone gave me the advice that you're going to spend the next few years there you should at least go visit and get a feel for the place.

A family member went there before. I should have just gone to the Seattle Art Institute, but I wanted a well-rounded education. In the end I got one and double majored, getting a Bachelor of Science so it worked out.

It wasn't my top choice (although I got into my top choice) but this was one of the places I received a scholarship. It was the best out of the other choices so I went with it. I am SO GLAD I did! I love it! I graduate this April and I would do anything to be a freshman again! Enjoy college :)

The program that I wanted to take up was only available in my university. There's no other school that offers this program in my area.

Also, my boyfriend goes to the same school, so yeah.

Lastly, they say that this is the best school in my area.

The guy I was in love with was in that town: not the best reason, but things worked out well

It's tradition for my family to go to OU. And I also met my fiancee there.
