Which universities and courses would be best?

I'm doing Maths, Further maths, economics and politics at A-level

I would like to be a politician ideally but that's a bit volatile so i think I need a proper career idea as a back up.

Originally I wanted to study PPE but I keep thinking I might want to do law and become a barrister and I don't want to regret anything 10 years down the line.

Would it be better to get a law degree and would i have the option of going into the financial sector as well as law if I got it.

I think both subjects would intrest me.

What careers can you go into with a PPE degree and is it worth getting (as in worth all that money when i could just work my way up)?

Also which universities would be best for those courses?

I was thinking:

Oxford

Durham

Warwick

York

Manchester

but if anyone has any better suggestions it'd be much appreciated

PPE at Oxbridge is a very highly valued degree, both in the public and private sectors. You can't really just 'work your way up' any more - just about every job worth having is just not open to you without a degree.

Law is also valued highly by general graduate employers, including those in the financial sector.

Many politicians begin their careers by being very active in student politics, so Uni is a great place for helping you to work out whether a political life is one for you.

All the Unis you mention are good, but Oxbridge is the way to go if you can get in
